Coupon Book Fundraiser
Today the students stayed after rehearsal for an hour to kick off our coupon book fundraiser. We sold 75 books, which adds up to $750 profit already! We will be continuing this sale through August 11th (the first Friday of school). All money is due on Friday August 11th. I will then total up the number of books students have sold and have those ready for distribution on Monday August 14th. It will be the students' responsibility to ensure the books get to the people who ordered them. There are various prize incentives available to students selling different amounts of items, all of which are detailed on the information handed out tonight. Much of the profit from this fundraiser will be the first money we will put towards the new uniform purchase, so get out there and sell as many as you can!
Wednesday - Town Hall Performance
Tomorrow students will be entertaining a group of senior citizens at the South Whitley town hall. Information was distributed yesterday regarding this performance. This is just a reminder that students will need to bring their Whitko band shirt, jeans, marching shoes, and black socks to rehearsal tomorrow morning.
Thursday - Preview Show
At 5:00 PM on Thursday evening all are welcome to join us at the practice field for a preview of the 2017 production "Time Machine". If all goes well over the next two days we will be able to perform the entire production for those in attendance! Students will dress in casual rehearsal clothes since we will need performance clothes for Friday's parade as well as Wednesday's town hall performance.
Friday - Pierceton Parade
Friday evening is the Pierceton days parade. I will have a more detailed itinerary coming in the next two days. The most important thing to remember is that students will need to have a ride arranged to Pierceton Elementary where we are meeting for the parade. Mini buses will not be available for transportation from the high school to the elementary school.
There's a lot going on over the next few days as we finish up an incredible band camp. Please feel free to contact me if you have any further questions or need any clarification on anything. Thanks!!
